School Business Manager required ASAP

Salary range: P05/ P06 (£44,373 – £50,184) dependent on experience

This post is full time and all year round. Flexible hours can be negotiated.

Pooles Park is a diverse two form entry Primary School in the London Borough of Islington. We are looking for a dynamic, innovative, enthusiastic Business Manager to join our school.

You will be responsible for:

  • Overall financial management of income and costs to include payroll
  • Premises management to include contract review and monitoring
  • Strategic oversight of facilities to include maintenance – including IT systems
  • All aspects of HR – to include safer recruitment,
  • Health and Safety of the whole school
  • Meeting all policy requirements and ensuring the school is kept up to date on all relevant legislation
  • Leading the schools admin team
  • Managing the in-house Catering

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the school’s leadership team and will be required to work at both an operational and strategic level.

You will need excellent communication and leadership skills and must be able to present effectively and clearly to all stakeholders of the school in particular the governing body. You should have experience of leading and developing systems and teams and an ability to manage a heavy workload. You should be experienced in finance, HR and line management and be an excellent role model to the other members of the admin team.

You will need to have the ability to manage your time effectively and to use your initiative.

In January we will have two EYFS classes, each with Nursery and Reception children.
